Field placements and experiential education are core components of many professional degree programs. These placements offer students a unique experience to obtain practice skills and professional development not easily gained in the classroom. Perhaps that’s why more students are seeking internships and externships as part of their graduate and undergraduate educations than ever before. But the demand for such opportunities is often greater than the supply.
